Ultra High PerformanceThe ultra-high performance is based on the extremely low weight of the moving masses (voice coils and cones), the very strong drive of the 23,500 gauss neodymium magnets, the optimised power transmission due to the extremely small 0.95 mm air gaps, and the full-range horn concept with 1,800 cm2 bass blades and the large 350 mm spherical horn.

The result is a compact 2-way system with 98 dB system efficiency and a maximum sound level of 117 dB - levels a conventional speaker of this size cannot approach, and which even low-powered amplifiers can drive cleanly.
The Fastest Bass of Its ClassFrom a technological point of view, the conventional approach of using only a large, heavy and therefore sluggish bass driver is wrong. Low frequencies require a large cone with a long stroke, but dynamic mid-bass impulses require a smaller, lighter and much faster driver.

To achieve the most dynamic and crisp bass, we deliberately avoid the lowest frequencies below 60 Hz. The C2 uses the small UL 6.5 inch bass driver in a twin configuration, with an extremely low moving mass of only 12.5 grams - around 6 times lighter than conventional 10 or 12 inch systems (approx. 40-80 g). Combined with powerful motors and the horn loading of the bass blades, the result is dynamics and speed vastly superior to any conventional high-end speaker.
Varied and Versatile. Every Colibri Longs for a Nest.Every Colibri longs for a loving nest - a place where it can feel at home and be aesthetically integrated into its owner's home. We have equipped the Colibri with a variety of optional mounting brackets, stands and wall mounts, with the aim of creating a home that meets the highest sonic demands.

Its compact size and multiple mounting options make it easy to fit into even the smallest spaces. It can be placed directly on the integrated rubber pads or on a variety of stands and wall brackets, in horizontal or vertical orientation. Built-in toothed rings allow precise tilt and height adjustment.
Expand It with the C18 Super Low Bass ModuleThe lowest fundamental frequency of almost all instruments and of the human voice is above 65 Hz. Despite the reduced low frequency range, the Colibri covers the important hearing spectrum with exceptional quality. If an external subwoofer is added, it only has to reproduce frequencies up to approximately 50 Hz - completely freed from the need to reproduce fast impulses. This means the Colibri can be expanded with virtually any subwoofer on the market.

But if only the best will do, the C18 is the solution. The Colibri C2 can be upgraded with one or more C18 super low bass modules, mounted separately or as a unit with the C2 using an optional bracket, opening up a whole new dimension of sound.
