PhoenixNET: Why 100Mbps, Not GigabitPhoenixNET uses a 100Mbps switch chip rather than a Gigabit chip, a deliberate choice: at audio streaming bitrates the extra throughput of Gigabit switching is unnecessary, while a 100Mbps chip runs with a meaningfully lower noise floor.

The switch chip itself contains no internal switching regulators - all three independent voltages it needs come from an internal Statement-grade linear power supply with independent ultra-low-noise regulation for each rail.
PhoenixNET: Statement-Grade ClockPhoenixNET uses the same 3ppb 25MHz OCXO (oven-controlled crystal oscillator) found in Innuos’ flagship Statement server, individually powered by its own dedicated linear power supply rather than sharing a rail with other circuitry.

Four Ethernet ports are provided, drawing from two internal linear power supplies feeding the unit’s three independent voltage rails.
PhoenixNET: Micro-Vibration ControlBeyond electrical noise, PhoenixNET manages micro-vibration at three levels: anti-vibration feet tuned to the chassis’ own resonant frequency, a top cover treatment that converts vibration from sound waves into small amounts of heat, and RJ45 ports mounted with a silicone connection to the chassis.

Power consumption is 3W idle and 7.5W peak, and the unit measures 215 x 342 x 87mm (W x D x H) at 5kg.
PhoenixNET: A Switch Built for Sound, Not ThroughputPhoenixNET is designed specifically for audio streaming applications, prioritising signal purity and a low noise floor over the raw data throughput a general-purpose network switch is built around.

It slots into a system between a router or main network switch and a streamer, DAC, or server, aiming to keep noise picked up on the data path from reaching the audio components downstream.
