PhoenixUSB: Three Components in OnePhoenixUSB combines what would otherwise be three separate components - a USB regenerator, a linear power supply, and an external master clock with its own linear supply - into a single unit that sits between a source and a DAC.

It takes the USB signal from any source and fully regenerates it into a high-precision signal before passing it on, rather than simply repeating the incoming signal unchanged.

PhoenixUSB: 3ppb OCXO ClockAt the heart of PhoenixUSB is a high-precision 3 parts-per-billion OCXO (oven-controlled crystal oscillator) running at 24MHz, the reference clock the whole reclocking process is built around.

The USB regenerating chip itself contains no switching regulators - all three independent voltages it needs are supplied by an independent linear power supply with further regulation from three sets of LT3045 regulators.
PhoenixUSB: Two Onboard Linear SuppliesPhoenixUSB carries two separate linear power supplies onboard: one dedicated to the 24MHz clock, and another for the outgoing 5V USB supply - keeping the clock’s power entirely separate from the signal path it times.

This separation is part of how PhoenixUSB keeps noise out of both the timing reference and the regenerated signal simultaneously, rather than sharing a single supply across both jobs.
PhoenixUSB: Compact Half-Size CasePhoenixUSB ships in Innuos’ half-size case - the same form factor shared with the ZENmini and LPS1 - sitting on three isolating feet with a single USB input, one USB output, and a three-pin IEC power inlet.

Power consumption is 3W idle and 7.5W peak, and the unit measures 215 x 342 x 87mm (W x D x H) at 5kg - the same footprint as PhoenixNET.
