X-SPDIF3: USB to S/PDIF and IIS-LVDSX-SPDIF3 takes a USB input from a computer or network streamer and converts it to S/PDIF - optical, coaxial or AES/EBU - or to Matrix Audio’s own IIS-LVDS format, for feeding an external DAC that does not accept USB directly.
IIS-LVDS is the highest-resolution output on X-SPDIF3, supporting formats the S/PDIF outputs cannot carry - useful when pairing it with a Matrix Audio DAC or another IIS-LVDS-compatible unit.

X-SPDIF3: Format SupportThe Optical, Coaxial and AES outputs carry PCM at 16 to 24Bit across 44.1kHz to 192kHz, plus DSD64 via DoP - the standard ceiling for S/PDIF-based formats.
The IIS-LVDS output goes further: PCM up to 32Bit/768kHz, and DSD64/128/256 via DoP or DSD64/128/256/512 natively - covering effectively every format a source is likely to output.
