LD-5 MK II RCA: The Unbalanced InterconnectLD-5 MK II RCA is the unbalanced interconnect in the LD-5 MK II family, built for a source-to-preamp or preamp-to-power-amp run terminated in RCA rather than XLR.

It shares its conductor and shielding construction with the LD-5 MK II AC Power, C7 and XLR variants, so the whole family can be run together as a matched loom. Life Audio was founded in Bangkok in 2014 by Voravut Winasuntu, who had already spent close to a decade working alongside international high-end audio manufacturers before starting the brand.

LD-5 MK II RCA: Shielding for a Line-Level SignalAn interconnect carries a far lower-level signal than a power cord, which makes shielding quality matter more here than it does on the AC Power side of the LD-5 MK II range.

Life Audio build the RCA version with the same layered shielding approach used across the LD line to keep a long line-level run quiet in a rack full of other cabling.

Gold plating on both signal and ground contacts resists the oxidation that gradually raises contact resistance on a connector left plugged in for years.
