CRM-3: Broad MOON CompatibilityThe CRM-3 will operate any MOON IR-capable 2-channel component, and is built specifically to serve as a direct substitute for several older MOON remotes: CRM, CRM2, SRM, SRM2, Celeste and RM-50.
For a system built up over several years with mixed-generation MOON equipment, a single CRM-3 can replace the need to keep multiple older, model-specific remotes on hand.

CRM-3: Philips RC-5 ProtocolThe CRM-3 communicates using the Philips RC-5 protocol, a widely adopted infrared standard that underpins its compatibility across MOON’s current and legacy 2-channel component range.
Because RC-5 is a standard rather than a MOON-proprietary protocol, the CRM-3 integrates cleanly with universal remote and home-automation systems already programmed for RC-5 devices.

CRM-3: Volume and Mute ControlsBeyond basic transport and input functions, the CRM-3 carries dedicated VOL +/- buttons for volume level and a MUTE button that cuts output volume entirely - the core controls a 2-channel system is actually operated with day to day.
The layout keeps these frequently used controls in easy reach rather than buried behind menu-style navigation.

CRM-3: Simple Battery PowerThe CRM-3 runs on two CR-2032 coin-cell batteries, a common, easily replaced format rather than a proprietary rechargeable pack.
As an affordable, dedicated IR remote, the CRM-3 is a natural fit for a MOON system that does not need the MOONLink wireless pairing and app-level control the BRM-1 offers.
