FRM-3: A Universal MOON RemoteThe FRM-3 is built to operate any MOON IR-capable 2-channel component, including most of the brand’s older models, giving a system built up over several product generations a single remote to work with.
It is specifically positioned as a direct upgrade path for owners of the older CRM, SRM, SRM-2, Celeste and RM-50 remotes, replacing a worn or discontinued unit without hunting for an exact factory match.

FRM-3: Milled from Solid AluminiumUnlike a moulded-plastic remote, the FRM-3 is milled from solid aluminium, giving it a density and cold-to-the-touch quality that lines up with the machined fascias of MOON’s amplifiers and preamplifiers.
The metal body also adds a practical benefit over plastic: it survives day-to-day handling, coffee-table drops and years of use without the case cracking or button labels wearing off.

FRM-3: Motion-Sensor BacklightingA built-in motion sensor lights the FRM-3’s controls automatically when it is picked up, so buttons stay legible in a darkened home-theatre or listening room without a separate light-up button to press first.
The backlighting switches off again after a short period of inactivity, keeping battery life reasonable despite the illuminated keypad.

FRM-3: Shipping Weight and WarrantyThe FRM-3 ships at 0.9 kg, noticeably heavier in the hand than a typical plastic system remote, a direct result of its solid-aluminium construction.
It carries Simaudio’s standard one-year warranty, excluding mechanical or accidental damage - normal coverage for a handheld accessory subject to everyday drops and wear.
