TUBE DAC: A New Digital CoreTUBE DAC extends the HD DAC X project with a whole new digital interface and converter, built on the experience gained from the original HD DAC and featuring an entirely new converter and USB interface.

The improvement carries across every format the DAC handles, including a marked step up even for standard red-book CD played through S/PDIF.

TUBE DAC: DSD 4x ConversionTUBE DAC converts a digital signal to analog with total integrity, adopting DSD 4x (Direct Stream Digital 256) processing that runs at 256 times the resolution of a standard CD and four times that of SACD.

The circuit design aims to introduce no impurity or coloration to the original sound, reaching a level of definition Nagra describes as previously unmatched in its own product line.

TUBE DAC: Tube-Driven Analog OutputThe analog section eliminates traditional steep-slope filters thanks to the quality of signal supplied by the digital conversion circuits, preserving transients and harmonics for an exceptionally natural sound.

Ultra-high-performance drivers, hand-wound transformers and a tube-driven output stage form the core of that analog section, with 25 precision ultra-low-noise internal power supplies giving each element its own independent, pure supply source.

TUBE DAC: Dual External Power SuppliesTUBE DAC requires two external power supplies - one for the digital section and one for the analog section - keeping the two halves independently isolated from each other.

It is designed to pair with the Nagra Classic PSU for ultimate performance, while remaining compatible with the earlier-generation Nagra MPS supply.
