Harmony DAC: A Discrete R2R Ladder ArchitectureHarmony DAC uses a discrete R2R (resistor-ladder) DAC architecture rather than an off-the-shelf conversion chip, built around an Intel Altera Cyclone FPGA for digital processing and a CCHD-957 femto clock oscillator for low-phase-noise timing.
The design supports selectable oversampling (OS) or non-oversampling (NOS) modes, letting a listener choose between the two presentations rather than being locked into one fixed sound.

Harmony µDAC: Four Digital Inputs, Up to 768kHz PCMUSB, Optical (TOSLINK), Coaxial (RCA) and I²S digital inputs handle PCM from 44.1kHz up to 768kHz and DSD from DSD64 up to DSD256, with galvanic isolation to reduce interference reaching the conversion stage.
A single balanced XLR analog output carries the converted signal on to a preamp, integrated amp, or active speakers.

Harmony DAC: Balanced XLR and Single-Ended RCA OutputsAnalog outputs cover both balanced XLR, at up to 4.15Vrms, and single-ended RCA, at up to 2.07Vrms, so Harmony DAC can drive either a balanced or unbalanced preamp or amplifier input.
A 3.83-inch white monochrome OLED display, running at 320x132 pixels with 16-bit grayscale, shows input selection and sample rate at a glance from across a room.

Harmony DAC: Measured for a Quiet, Wide-Bandwidth OutputMeasured performance includes a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz within ±0.25dB, THD+N of 0.0035%, and a signal-to-noise ratio better than 123dB (A-weighted).
Internally, Harmony DAC uses Crystek crystals and Audio Note Kaisei capacitors, with a modular design intended to leave room for future upgrades.
