NAGRA VFS/CLASSIC VFS

VFS: Two Plates, One JobThe VFS and Classic VFS consist of two solid aluminium plates stacked one above the other, sitting between a component and whatever shelf or rack it rests on - a dedicated isolation platform rather than a rack or stand in its own right.

At 2.1 cm total height and 4 kg, the VFS is compact enough to slot under most components without materially changing a system’s existing layout.

VFS: Space-Agency Damping MaterialBetween the two aluminium plates sits a damping material Nagra describes as developed originally for the space industry, engineered to absorb both continuous mechanical vibration and sudden shock.

Each half of the VFS uses a different cushion tuned to a specific range of mechanical frequencies, rather than one uniform material trying to cover the whole spectrum.

VFS: ARCAp Spikes with Delrin TipsThe VFS ships with three spikes machined from ARCAp - a fully non-magnetic copper-nickel-zinc alloy - screwed to the underside of the component and set down onto the VFS plates.

The spike tips are Delrin resin, a material Nagra chose for sitting between metal and plastic in hardness and stability, completing the isolation path from component to plate.

VFS: Fits Under Most ComponentsTop plate dimensions are 33.8 x 27.7 cm with the bottom plate slightly larger at 34.8 x 28.7 cm, sized for a source component, phono stage, or similar unit rather than a full-width power amplifier.

An additional Spike Kit is available separately for systems that need more than the three spikes supplied with a single VFS.
