MATRIX AUDIO MD-1

MD-1: Streamer and Power Amp in OneMD-1 combines a network music streamer with a power amplifier in a single chassis, eliminating the need for a separate streaming source, preamp and power amplifier in a two-channel system.

A single MD-1 plus a pair of passive speakers is enough to build a complete Hi-Fi system, cutting out much of the setup complexity of a traditional multi-component system.

MD-1: 150 Watts Per ChannelMD-1 delivers 150W per channel into 8 Ohms, enough to comfortably drive both bookshelf and floor-standing speakers in most rooms.

High-efficiency amplification technology keeps power delivery strong while reducing energy consumption and heat generation compared with a conventional linear amplifier design of similar output.

MD-1: PWM Signal ProcessingAdvanced PWM (pulse-width modulation) signal processing minimises audio signal distortion through the amplification stage, aimed at pure, detailed and flawless sound reproduction.

That same distortion-control approach is shared with the higher-powered MD-1P, so the step down in output does not come with a step down in sonic ambition.

MD-1: A Complete Streaming EcosystemMD-1 runs Matrix Audio’s MA Player streaming platform and MA Remote app, giving it the same breadth of streaming-service access and control as the rest of the Matrix Audio range.

For a system where MD-1P’s extra power is not needed, MD-1 offers the same one-box convenience at a lower price point.
