KW1: Cable-Free Subwoofer PlacementThe KW1 Wireless Subwoofer Adapter Kit is designed to free a compatible KEF subwoofer from a fixed cable run, letting it be positioned wherever it sounds best in a room rather than wherever a cable can reach.

It works with KEF’s KUBE 8b, 10b and 12b subwoofers as well as the KC62 and KF92, and is also compatible with the LSX II, LS50 Wireless II and LS60 Wireless speaker systems.

KW1: 24-bit/48kHz Over 5GHzThe kit transmits over the less congested 5GHz wireless band, carrying audio at up to 24-bit/48kHz - resolution well beyond what a subwoofer channel typically demands, kept high to avoid any audible compromise.

Operating in the 5GHz band specifically helps the KW1 avoid the interference common on the more crowded 2.4GHz band shared by many other household wireless devices.

KW1: Simple Two-Part PowerPower for the two halves of the kit is kept simple: the transmitter runs from a standard USB power source, while the receiver draws its power directly from the subwoofer’s own expansion port.

Neither half needs a separate power brick beyond what a USB source or the subwoofer itself already provides, keeping installation to running one small transmitter near the source components.

KW1: 30-Metre Range, Receiver Sold SeparatelyLine-of-sight range is rated up to 30 metres, comfortably covering placement across most rooms without dropouts, with pairing described as intuitive and stable once set up.

The receiver half is also available separately, letting a single KW1 transmitter feed two KEF subwoofers wirelessly from one signal source.
