Black Diamond: 48 Gbps of HeadroomBlack Diamond HDMI 2.1 carries 48 Gbps, which is what an HDMI 2.1 source actually needs before it can send uncompressed 8K at 60 frames per second or 4K at 120. A cable built to the older 18 Gbps ceiling simply drops back.

The conductors are an alloy of copper, silver and gold, 30 AWG to 26 AWG depending on length, under triple shielding. Video support runs to 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz with Dynamic HDR, and the cable is CE compliant.

Black Diamond: eARC and Immersive AudioBlack Diamond HDMI 2.1 supports eARC, the Enhanced Audio Return Channel, so a TV can send Dolby Atmos and DTS:X back down the same cable to an amplifier or soundbar at full bitrate rather than the compressed version ordinary ARC allows.

Audio support covers SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD and other high-definition formats, up to 32 audio channels at a 1536 kHz sampling rate.

Black Diamond: An I2S Cable for High-End AudioBlack Diamond HDMI 2.1 doubles as an I2S link between transport and DAC. I2S keeps clock and data on separate lines instead of embedding the clock in the stream, and any jitter the cable adds lands directly on the conversion.

Purist call it sonically breathtaking in that role, delivering the music with clarity, accuracy, depth and detail, and say it brings out the most of any equipment that supports the I2S standard.

Black Diamond: Build and LengthsBlack Diamond HDMI 2.1 is 0.29 in. (7 mm) across the body and 0.64 in. (16 mm) at the ferrite, with every part treated by the Triple (3x) Cryomag process used across the Purist range.

Lengths are 3 ft (0.9 M), 6 ft (1.8 M), 10 ft (3.0 M), 15 ft (4.5 M) and 20 ft (6.0 M) - long enough for a projector run without a repeater in the middle of it.
