Diamond Revision HDMI: A Year of DevelopmentDiamond Revision HDMI took Purist over a year of research and development, aimed at three things at once: better audio, better video, and a cable flexible enough to route behind equipment without fighting it.

The conductor is an alloy of copper, silver and gold, 32 AWG to 26 AWG depending on length, under triple shielding - and, as with everything Purist build, treated with the Triple (3x) Cryomag process.

Diamond Revision HDMI: 4K, 3D and HDRDiamond Revision HDMI supports every High Speed HDMI feature, including 4K resolution at 60 Hz and all versions of HDMI 3D video, plus Multi View.

It also carries HDR. High Dynamic Range significantly expands contrast ratio and colour accuracy, and a TV that supports it shows a more realistic image with more contrast and brightness than the older standard allows.

Diamond Revision HDMI: 18 Gbps and I2SDiamond Revision HDMI runs the full 18 Gbps of High Speed HDMI bandwidth, including HDMI Ethernet Channel, Audio Return Channel, Deep Color, Consumer Electronics Control, High Definition Multichannel Digital Audio and HDCP.

It is I2S compatible, so it can also link a transport to a DAC over the HDMI connector many high-end manufacturers use for that purpose. Audio support runs to 32 channels at a 1536 kHz sampling rate.

Diamond Revision HDMI: Built to Be UsedDiamond Revision HDMI measures 0.29 in. (7 mm) across the body and 0.64 in. (16 mm) at the ferrite, and the redesign was specifically aimed at making it easier to route than the cable it replaces.
