Aqueous XLR: An alloy of silver, copper and gold (Ag/Cu/Au)Aqueous XLR is built around an alloy of silver, copper and gold (Ag/Cu/Au), carried at an effective 24 AWG. Purist pair the metallurgy with Contego, a specific ratio mixture of Fluid and Ferox to shape the tonal balance rather than leaving it to the conductor alone.

The same Diamond Revision cable is offered as both Balanced (XLR) and Balanced (XLR) - this listing is the XLR version, terminated for a balanced connection.

Aqueous XLR: Shielding and DielectricAqueous XLR runs a full 100% braid shield over a Teflon dielectric, which is what keeps a low-level line-level signal quiet over a run long enough to matter in a real rack.

Capacitance is 25 pF/ft (pin to shield) and conductor resistance 0.134 Ohm/m (conductor). Purist estimate 250 hours of break-in before the cable settles into its final sound.
