Purist pair the metallurgy with a refined Ferox dampening material to shape the tonal balance rather than leaving it to the conductor alone.

Venustas XLR: Shielding and DielectricVenustas XLR runs a full 100% braid shield over a Teflon dielectric, which is what keeps a low-level line-level signal quiet over a run long enough to matter in a real rack.

Capacitance is 40 pF/ft (pin to shield) and conductor resistance 0.053 Ohm/m (conductor). Purist estimate 250 hours of break-in before the cable settles into its final sound.
